On June 06, 2024. The field team of UXO Lao Luang Prabang went to the ground to carry out the removal of a cluster bomb that villagers found near the banks of the Bak River at Phonhom village, Nam Bak district, Luang Prabang Province.

The team was successfully removed 1 cluster bomb containing 580 items of cluster sub-munitions (BLU26) to safely area and for destruction according to technical procedures under the supervision of senior explosive ordnance disposal technicians from UXO Lao Luang Prabang and Technical Advisor Field Operations of Tetra Tech.
