On 28–29 May 2026, JICA, in collaboration with UXO Lao, conducted the 3rd Technical Working Group (TWG) Meeting under “The Project for Human Resource Development to Strengthen Organizational Capacity of UXO Lao” in Paksan District, Bolikhamxay Province. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Anousak Phongsa, National Programme Director (NPD) of UXO Lao, and Mr. Daisuke Sagiya, Chief Advisor of the JICA–UXO Lao Project.

The meeting brought together participants from the UXO Lao Headquarters Office and all nine provincial offices. The main objective was to further develop and refine the UXO Lao Long-Term Strategic Plan (2027–2036), with particular focus on ensuring that the strategy is practical, realistic, and responsive to operational challenges, while translating strategic priorities into practical actions.

The meeting featured active and collaborative discussions, including group work and detailed reviews of the draft strategic plan. Participants exchanged views on the future direction of UXO Lao, strengthening organizational operations and sustainability, and further contributing to the socio-economic development of the Lao PDR.
