Recently, UXO Lao successfully concluded a series of four consecutive meetings held from 6–15 July 2026 in Paksan District, Bolikhamxay Province. The meetings included the Technical Working Group (TWG) Meeting, the Semi-Annual Operational Work Plan Review Meeting and Work Plan for the Remainder of 2026, the Review and Revision of the Terms of Reference (TOR) Meeting, and the Review and Revision of UXO Lao’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Meeting.

The meetings focused on sharing technical lessons learned and reviewing and revising UXO Lao’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with the organization’s current operational context. In addition, the Review and Revision of the TOR Meeting examined and updated the roles and responsibilities of each position to enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of UXO Lao’s operations.

During the Semi-Annual Operational Work Plan Review Meeting and Work Plan for the Remainder of 2026, UXO Lao was honored to welcome H.E. Mrs. Keo Chanthavixay, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, along with representatives from relevant ministries and UXO Lao’s implementing partners. The meeting reviewed UXO Lao’s operational performance during the first half of 2026, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. Participants also shared constructive feedback and recommendations, which will support UXO Lao in improving its operations during the second half of the year and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of future implementation.
